Function
In the chip crusher, coarse crushing of chip balls occurs as the material is torn apart by a rotating crusher arm which tears the material against counter-holds placed in the crusher hopper.
The crushed chip balls then fall down to the bottom of the crusher funnel where a finer crushing occurs. A crushing wheel rotates and grinds the chips, which are then fed out to an underlying conveyor for further transport to a chip centrifuge, chip boxes, or chip containers.

Features
Vmax chip crushers are a robust and compact construction intended for crushing metal chips of steel, titanium, aluminum, brass, cast iron, and forged steel.
By crushing chips, a volume reduction of up to 80% of the original volume depending on the material is obtained. Forged steel and other tough materials are no problem for Chip crusher type Vmax, the robust construction with wear parts in manganese alloyed high-strength steel guarantees maximum wear resistance and reliability.
Chip crusher Vmax is standard equipped with automatic scrap piece separation where smaller scrap pieces in the chip box are separated into a separate box.
Accessories
Feeding to the crusher occurs by either tipping the chip box directly into the crusher funnel with a truck or via a box lift, alternatively, chips can be tipped into a lamella conveyor with a tipping pocket, which feeds the material to the chip crusher.
