Application area
Screw conveyors are used for transporting short-chip material, e.g., crushed steel chips or cast iron.
Other types of material this conveyor is suitable for are coal and coal powder, fly and bottom ash, bed sand, FGD gypsum, dewatered sludge, forest fuel (peat and bark), and chips.
Design
Screw conveyors are manufactured in two different designs, with or without a core, and bearing at one or both ends depending on the application.
Function
Chips are fed forward in the chassis via the spiral to the discharge point.
